Narasi: From Monday, 27th June, 2016, 1528 IST, I don’t give Facebook permission to use my pictures, my information or my publications, both of the past and the future, mine or those where I show up. By this statement, I give my notice to Facebook it is strictly forbidden to disclose, copy, distribute, give, sell my information, photos or take any other action against me on the basis of this profile and/or its contents. The content of this profile is private and confidential information. The violation of privacy can be punished by law (UCC 1-308-1 1 308-103 and the Rome statute).

Penjelasan:
Kabar mengenai postingan di media sosial Facebook bahwa semua postingan yang telah diposting, baik itu dikunci untuk konsumsi terbatas maupun postingan yang sudah dihapus, menjadi milik seutuhnya Facebook telah dibantah oleh Facebook. Melalui pemberitahuannya, Facebook telah mengklarifikasi bahwa kabar tersebut tidak benar. Berikut kutipan klarifikasi Facebook:
[…] Anda mungkin sudah melihat kiriman yang meminta Anda untuk menyalin dan menempel pemberitahuan untuk mempertahankan kontrol atas hal yang Anda bagikan di Facebook. Jangan percaya itu. Ketentuan kami sangat jelas: Anda memiliki semua konten dan informasi yang Anda kirimkan di Facebook, dan Anda dapat mengontrol bagaimana kiriman tersebut dibagikan melalui privasi dan pengaturan aplikasi. Seperti itu cara kerjanya, dan belum berubah.
Anda dapat mengunjungi Dasar-Dasar Privasi untuk menemukan lebih banyak tentang siapa yang melihat kiriman Anda di Facebook dan topik lainnya.

Berdasarkan klarifikasi tersebut maka kabar mengenai Facebook mengakuisisi semua isi postingan pribadi sebuah akun tidak benar atau hoax. Adapun, penyebaran kabar tersebut terindikasi memiliki motif tertentu yang tidak diketahui tujuannya.
